The Royal Canadian Mint has released a series of collector coins, including one that celebrates the anniversary of King Charles III’s coronation.
The reverse side of the 2024 Special Edition Proof Silver Dollar — Anniversary of His Majesty King Charles III's Coronation coin features a full colour reproduction of the King’s official coronation portrait, taken at Buckingham Palace on May 6, 2023, by British photographer Hugo Burnand. The portrait is framed by maple leaves engraved over a mirror-like background. The obverse side features the effigy of King Charles designed by Canadian artist Steven Rosati.
